The Dreamiest Staycation: DoubleTree by Hilton Orlando

An icon in Orlando, FL, the Doubletree by Hilton in Orlando at Seaworld towers above the rest with a coverage of 26 acres and a beautiful view of several Seaworld Parks and Entertainment theme parks! I spent the most wonderful two days at this enchanting resort and I wanted to spread the love a bit more with a detailed post sharing all of the wonderful things offered here.

A contemporary resort placed right in the heart of Central Florida, the location is perfect. The Disney and Universal theme parks are only a 15 min. drive away in either direction! This is HUGE especially considering if staying right on property may not be in your budget, this resort is definitely accommodating in the best way possible. First of all, WARM COOKIES?! Yes, that is correct my friends, you can enjoy a warm cookie right at check-in, on your way back to your room or even on the way out! They are freshly baked, extra delicious and were a stellar surprise for us when checking in. I had no clue that this would be offered to us and was an extra perk to staying at this resort!

Our stay was full of things to do! From grabbing a bite to eat from the new pizzeria on site, taking a luxurious nap after said delicious pizza, heading over to Magic Kingdom for a date night and then waking up to a fun filled day at Aquatica, Seaworld’s water park, the fun never stopped! Before I get ahead of myself, let’s talk about that life-changing pizza real quick! Alberto’s Pizzeria is the newly refurbished cafe at the resort and it’s where you can create your own pizza, drink as much caffeine as your heart desires from the on-site Starbucks or snag a couple of quick and easy snacks to bring back to your room! We created our own pizza with sausage, onions and spinach leaves and it was extra delectable. Daniel and I agreed that this was one of the best pizzas we had ever had and would go back even if it’s just to grab a quick slice!

During our stay we were given a full tour of the grounds and we were really able to take in the full resort! Twenty-six acres is quite a bit of ground to cover, but everything was easily walk-able and even the “farthest” room was close to the large lobby. A lush garden walk-about covered every inch of this resort and showcased the natural beauty of the Florida landscape. One of my favorite areas was a large promenade that is a newly refurbished area where a vast array of events could be held, such as weddings, events, business meetings, and more! They had thought through every little detail with an open air area covered in a type of AstroTurf which is especially thoughtful to those of us that may be wearing heels to any events! The other side of the promenade had an enormous covered open air pavilion that is perfect for an event that needs a bit of shade from our friendly Florida sun!

Another advantage to staying at this resort was being just a quick drive from all of the Orlando theme parks! SeaWorld Orlando and Aquatica were both right in their backyard giving us spectacular views from our hotel room! The hotel itself is an official SeaWorld partnered hotel, so there were a lot of incentives to staying there if you were going to either of those two parks. They offer free shuttle bus rides to both SeaWorld Orlando and Busch Gardens Tampa Bay. Even Universal Studios Orlando is only a 5-10 minute ride from the lobby. You can even get a shuttle to Walt Disney World for $12 OR take an easy 15 minute car ride to the Disney parks! We decided to visit Magic Kingdom during our staycation and it felt so nice to be able to take our time, enjoy the park and then have a quick drive back to the hotel where a comfy bed AND snacks waited for us!

Having the opportunity to enjoy the DoubleTree by Hilton in Orlando at Seaworld was a dream come true! I have never felt so relaxed and pampered and everything was absolutely perfect. I will be craving warm cookies and the lovely hospitality shown to me whenever I head on vacation next! Here’s to hoping that’s sooner rather than later!

Stay dreamy, friends!
