Happiness blooms!
It’s a sentiment close to our hearts and it especially rings true for our favorite Spring Queen, Minnie Mouse! This past week was a whirlwind of magic, flowers, and friends and I would not have changed it for the world! Let’s take a stroll through the entire Minnie’s Garden Party event beginning right at check-in to Disney’s Port Orleans Riverside Resort.
We were treated to a one night stay at one of my most favorite resorts, Disney’s Port Orleans Riverside. This resort is themed to invoke the senses and remind you of the sweet times of a bygone era in Louisiana. With rooms varying in themes from down on the swamp in the Alligator Bayou to the classic plantation-style homes on Magnolia Bend, this resort has a little bit of Southern charm hidden around every corner. Our home for the night was right in Magnolia Bend and is my favorite area on the property.

After a quick refresh from a busy morning in the parks, we were off to the lobby to check in with the rest of the group and head over to a lovely dinner at Disney’s Contemporary Resort. Of course, the theme was Minnie Mouse and everything reflected that from the tablecloths to center pieces and my most favorite, the desserts! Cake pops, chocolate covered strawberries, chocolate chocolate chocolate, everything dripped in sparkles and bows!

After dinner and drinks, we headed over to Magic Kingdom to take advantage of Extra Magic Hours and the FastPasses we were gifted to enjoy ANY ride in the park! We took it all in, riding as many attractions as we could, especially our favorites: Space Mountain, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad and Seven Dwarves Mine Train! This gave us all a bit of time to meet new friends, hangout with old ones and really gave us a chance to know one another. After a ton of laughs, dance moves to Happily Ever After and running from attraction to attraction, we headed back to the resort to get some rest before an early morning wake-up call.
7:30AM came very quickly and we checked out and were on our way to Epcot to celebrate in style with breakfast treats and flower crown making! I wish I could tell you my flower crown was perfectly curated, but sadly my crafting skills are subpar at best. We started out the morning with a quick welcome and introduction and of course, more sweet treats! Minnie Mouse made her official debut in her springtime outfit and it was the most adorable thing to witness. Covered head to toe with pink flowers and green accents, she was the epitome of Florida Spring!

The entire morning was enchanting, with sweet back drops and photo spots galore! A pop-up shop from the Dapper Day Expo took a colorful corner in the space and featured some of our favorite vintage clothing by Tatyana Boutique and Loco Lindo. This pop-up will be available in the Odyssey Center from April 29th – May 12th. Photo spots will be available through the Epcot Flower and Garden Festival until June 3rd, 2019 and take full advantage, they are ADORABLE!

After a full morning of greeting her adoring fans, Minnie Mouse said her goodbyes and we were en route to brunch which was held in the V.I.P. lounge behind Spaceship Earth. This area has been on my bucket-list forever and I was ecstatic to finally have the pleasure of visiting. With a gorgeous view of Future World and it’s iconic fountain, we were able to watch the bustling park from the comfort of an air-conditioned meeting hall. This lounge is not open to day guests and is only used for events or meetings by Disney. Brunch ended our two-day Minnie Mouse celebration and it was filled to the brim with, YES, even more sweet treats! I like to think anything Mickey or Minnie themed tastes better and these definitely did not disappoint. Minnie Mouse went all out with macarons, themed cake pops, tea sandwiches, a make-your-own omelet station and the most delicious of all, egg and spinach quiche!

To say I am overwhelmed with the magic is an understatement. This event was perfect from beginning to end. Let me just say, getting an invitation to an event like this is something that I will never get used to. I am so thankful for this opportunity and I want to say a huge thank you to Disney and Minnie Mouse for extending the invite. I will never forget this experience and I truly had the best time ever!
