Happy New Year’s! I’m amazed, every year, looking back, how quickly it all goes by. Every year I get a little sentimental. I think about the good, the bad, the things that I have seen and the things I wish I had done. That being said, I would never regret a single moment. My 2017 definitely had its ups and downs, but, as always, I would like to focus on the positives!
Some of my favorite moments of this year would have to be taking my first road trip to visit Busch Gardens Williamsburg in Virginia, hiking to highest point in the Great Smoky Mountains with Daniel, seeing a bear during our 105 mile drive through the Shenandoah Mountain Range, my golden birthday, becoming a social media spokesperson for Christmas Town at Busch Gardens, and ending the year having learned so much about the world around me! I am happy to be where I am at today and I can’t wait to venture into 2018 with my head held high!
I do have a couple of New Year’s Resolutions for this 2018. I normally don’t focus on resolutions, because really when do we ever actually go through with them? This time around, I want to make my resolutions into goals and make them happen! Some at the top of the list are as follows:
- Get healthy again. Working out has always been a love/hate relationship for me. When I start, I hate it because I don’t want to keep doing it, but after a couple of times I begin to fall in love with the routine and I get my own rhythm. My biggest thing is to KEEP GOING! So, eat healthy and stay on a workout regime and not give up!
- Save money so Daniel and I, can travel more!
- Visit Disneyland. I am ready to explore California and see the OG park.
- See a snow-topped mountain. Travel is definitely on the radar for the future, if you couldn’t tell…
- Start my own business.
- Keep our apartment always clean.
- Become more organized within every aspect of my life.
And there you have it! Nothing too crazy, but definitely a couple of things I am really wanting to work towards.

I also wanted to share with you some things I can’t wait to use in the New Year!
Let’s talk skincare! My skin has never been bad, random breakouts every now and again, nothing major, BUT I really would like supple, moisturized and beautiful skin. As the beauty industry continues to grow, healthy skin routines have popped up all over the place with different face masks, moisturizers, you name it! A lot of the time, this ends up being a very expensive way to take care of your face and sadly I just do not have the funds to use on those kind of things.
I have created my own little routine that for the past two weeks leading up to this blog post. I have used these two products above every day about two times a day, once in the morning and once at night. The Aveeno Active Naturals clear complexion cleanser is a foaming soap that helps clear up any blemishes and keeps from breakouts happening. This is extra helpful after a long day at work. I’m sweaty, my makeup is all over my face and my pores are super clogged. I have found that this product does really help me, especially in conjunction with the Love and Roses Beauty Mist! As I was searching for Christmas gifts this year, I found this baby in the sale section at Anthropologie and I thought I would try it out! I had heard a lot of good things about rose mists and it was only $6 comparably to $38 (yeah, this tiny bottle would have been $38 without the sale, see what I’m saying? TOO EXPENSIVE!). Thankfully enough, I ended up absolutely loving the product and actually went back to Anthropologie and got two more bottles so I wouldn’t run out, it was that good! So in this New Year I would really like to focus on keeping up with my routine and trying to find more products that will help my skin be the best it can be!
Not on ShopDisney yet, but check out the other styles!
I am ready to head back into the parks with this lil’ beauty! I am that person that always wears a pair of ears when I visit the Disney Parks. It is a staple piece that always adds that extra flare that I need to an outfit. I love finding unique small shops that create their own Disney-inspired ears, as well as grabbing the newest pair of Disney Parks official ears! This pair of ears are brand new to the parks this month, first introduced at Disneyland and now have made its way to Walt Disney World! When I found them at Hollywood Studios I almost cried from excitement! I LOVE vintage Minnie Mouse and I can’t wait to show off all of my Minnie Style in the New Year!
I cannot wait to experiment with all of the fun colors in the brand new Jaclyn Hill palette by Morphe! The colors are absolutely gorgeous and there are just the right amount of shimmer vs matte! Jaclyn Hill has always been a huge inspiration for me. I love her YouTube videos and she always makes me want to try different things with my own makeup! Now I am nowhere near as good as any of the beauty bloggers out there, but I try my best and I hope to learn more and experiment with my own makeup creations in 2018!
Danielle Nicole Lucifer Crossbody
Danielle Nicole handbags have done it again, another purse I am absolutely in love with! Cinderella is not one of my most favorite princesses, but I remember watching this movie on repeat when I was little. I have always been a big fan of movies with animals in them and Cinderella had all of the animal friends a girl could want! Bruno is my favorite character, even if he has a smaller part, but my favorite villain was little Lucifer. He was always the WORST and I loved that he was so sneaky and funny. This is definitely a purse I will cherish forever because of the wonderful memories I had as a child and I will have the most fun styling an outfit to go alongside this baby! I’m thinking a little villainous, but a little Cinderella off to the ball, bibbidi-bobbidi boo magic as well!
Hello beautiful! If you haven’t seen on my Instagram and on a couple of others as well, Riverdale and Betty and Veronica is the newest trend. This is something I would never have dreamed to happen, but I am so happy it did. The Archie Comics have been in my life since I can remember! My mom used to read them when she was little and therefore passed along the obsession to me, which I am so thankful she did. The Archie Comics always made me smile and kept me occupied on any trips to see the grandparents, at my family’s condo in Homosassa, Florida or the hours spent pruning in the bathtub. I didn’t leave a Publix without a new digest in hand and I am so happy to have these comics in my possession now! As the years have past the comics have taken many different forms, but I have always been used to the smaller versions, that have more pages and Double Digest editions. This Christmas, Daniel gifted me these four vintage comics varying from 1990, 1984, 1982 and 1977 (from right to left in the photo above)! I was absolutely ecstatic to have gotten these and I can’t wait to read the stories within these comics and compare the differences to the newer versions I grew up with!
Last, but certainly not least, I cannot wait to listen to this magical soundtrack! For Christmas, I received this album made in 1978 containing four records and a 52-page book that has every single song that was produced by Walt Disney Studios at that time. The book has full color sketches and stories of all of Walt Disney’s original motion pictures that he had a hand in directing and creating. This album was created celebrating Mickey’s 50th birthday and to commemorate Walt Disney. This is the one thing that I cherish the most because of these reasons. I love the history of Disney and I think having this will inspire me to be the best me I can be. Also, something that totally made me cry is that one of the last movies Walt Disney had a hand in was Bambi (my favorite movie). That is the last soundtrack on the album and just makes my heart so happy.
